Champaign Cop Arrested Over Sex Assault In Two Counties

(6-24-15) Urbana, IL -  Champaign's cop of the year is under arrest after he was accused of forcing previous girlfriends into sex acts against their will. 
Officer Jerad Gale was taken into custody yesterday after talking with Illinois State Police investigators.  He's facing charges in both Champaign and Piatt counties.  

Gale is being held on 250-thousand-dollars bond and he's expected to appear in court today in both Monticello and Urbana.  The officer is now on investigative leave from the police force.
