Quinn: I Won't Sign A Partial Pension Fix

(Springfield, IL)  --  Governor Quinn says he won’t sign a pension bill that doesn't fund the pension systems at 100-percent.

Quinn said the state’s economy has suffered and it’s time to get to the bottom of the problem.

He’s called a conference committee, which will bring ten lawmakers together to work out a new deal.

They’ll be meeting for the first time this Thursday with the hopes of hashing out a deal by July 9th, but Quinn says some are already complaining that’s not enough time to negotiate a new plan.
